[Health Week] Can exosome treatment alone shrink pores?
|
|
These days, we see a lot of advertisements claiming to treat pores with exosomes. Will regular exosome administration actually shrink pores? Exosomes are vesicles secreted to transmit information between cells. They contain proteins, nucleic acids, and lipids, and have antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and cell regenerative properties. The principle behind their pore-reducing properties is to promote collagen regeneration, restoring skin elasticity. However, can exosome administration alone significantly reduce pore size? This is highly unlikely. Pore treatment requires a more multifaceted approach. What causes enlarged pores? Pores gradually widen when excessive sebum production creates a bottleneck at the pore opening. Repeated inflammation and loss of skin elasticity due to aging can also be contributing factors. Pores require regular treatments to reduce sebum production. For areas where skin degeneration has already occurred and the skin has become deep or large, specialized acupuncture treatments (new skin acupuncture) are needed to regenerate the tissue separately. At this point, various laser treatments and skin booster treatments like exosomes can be used in conjunction to create synergy. Pores are typically enlarged in the papillary layer, the uppermost layer of the dermis. High-frequency acupuncture restores elasticity in this layer, achieving much faster and more effective results than exosomes. Adding skin booster treatments containing exosomes or PDRN stimulates the formation of new blood vessels, further improving outcomes. At the end of treatment, peeling is also necessary to smooth out the pores and smooth their appearance. This is a more intensive procedure than simply exfoliating, and must be performed manually by a skilled medical professional. The peeling is followed by regenerative treatments to prevent pigmentation and promote healing. This completes one cycle of pore treatment, and depending on the patient's skin condition, this cycle may be repeated multiple times. This will ensure gradual improvement in pore problems. Pore reduction requires an integrated treatment approach that addresses the underlying cause and improves symptoms, rather than a single, piecemeal approach, to achieve true results. <Copyright ⓒ Health Week.
